A new article related to the detection of E. coli O157 has been accepted. On this occasion, the INL researchers have developed an isothermal technique (RPA) combined with a sample treatment that allows the detection of the bacteria on the same day the analysis is started, being able to see the result with the naked eye by color change, or with the help of a UV lamp.

- Loop-mediated isothermal amplification combined with immunomagnetic separation and propidium monoazide for the specific detection of viable Listeria monocytogenes in milk products, with an internal amplification control
- Combination of Recombinase Polymerase Amplification with SYBR Green I for naked-eye, same-day detection of Escherichia coli O157:H7 in ground meat
